Rev. Yvonne Cuffee
Pastor Emeritus
Pastor Emeritus Rev. Yvonne Cuffee founded Powerful Truth Sanctuary in 1976 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Long before “one church in two locations” became a common phrase, Rev. Cuffee established a second church location in Macon, Georgia. In 1991, the church moved to its present campus location on Joycliff Road in Macon, Georgia. Pastor Cuffee’s ministry of service spans over 45 years as a pastor, teacher, counselor and prophetic voice in the earth.
In 2017, Pastor Cuffee received the National Women’s History Project Certificate of Merit awarded by City of Atlanta and Atlanta Public Schools System for her Meritorious Leadership, Community Service and Dedication as a Women of Character, Courage, and Commitment.
In August 2017, Pastor Cuffee passed the mantle of Senior Pastor to her son, Rev. Derrick B. Lockwood and Lady Crystal E. Lockwood. She continues to support Powerful Truth Sanctuary with her presence, wisdom, and finances.
Derrick B. Lockwood
Senior Pastor
Derrick B. Lockwood is a native of North Georgia and was raised in the inner city of Atlanta. He attended Troy State University where he earned his undergraduate degree with a major in History and minor in Religious studies. He later received his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Supervision from Troy State University as well.
As an educator for the past 34 years, Rev. Lockwood has served in a variety of youth and mentoring capacities in the Atlanta community. During the 2000 school year, he was one of four individual selected in a national search to participate as a Fisher Fellow at the University of California at Berkeley. He completed the internship program serving in both California and New York. He has served as an Assistant Principal of Charles R. Drew Charter School, Dean of Atlanta Youth Academy: a Pre-K thru 8th grade Christ-centered college preparatory school devoted to low-income families in the Atlanta area. His students have earned over 4.7 million dollars in scholarship and financial aid awards. He formerly served as Head of School for New City Christian School in Asheville, NC. He has served on various Boards of Directors such as: KIPP: Achieve Preparatory Academy, The Andre P. Stewart Center and the Odyssey Board of Advisors at The Westminster Schools of Atlanta. He also served as a National Program Committee Board member of A Better Chance. A national organization that identifies talented students of color and helps transforms their lives through education. Rev. Lockwood has been an active member of the Leadership of Atlanta (2009) and Leadership of DeKalb (2003).
Rev. Lockwood is the founder and president of Connecting Local Resources with Global Needs which is a non-profit ministry that specializes in leveraging local resources to meet global needs. He is also the founder and president of Derrick B. Lockwood Ministries where he is committed to seeing souls won to Jesus Christ. He has ministered throughout the African continent, the Caribbean and the United States and Canada. A major emphasis of his ministry is “binding up the brokenhearted and setting the captive free” through preaching, teaching and the prophetic word of God.
In August 2017, Rev. Lockwood became the Senior Pastor of Powerful Truth Sanctuary Global International Church in Macon, Georgia. He is married to the former Crystal Earlinda Credle. They have two children, Andrea and Isaiah, and a host of godchildren.
Lady Crystal Lockwood
Crystal Lockwood is the Health Services Administrator at the Stonecrest Medical Office of Kaiser Permanente. She began her employment at Kaiser Permanente on February 4, 2013, as a Nurse Manager at Panola Medical Office for Ambulatory Medicine and Pediatrics. She worked in this role until she was promoted in August 2016 as a Health Services Administrator at Stonecrest Medical Office.
Crystal moved to the Atlanta area in 1988 after graduating from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill where she earned her BS in Nursing. She was employed at Piedmont Hospital from August 1988 to January 2013, where she worked as a Staff nurse in both acute and critical care settings. She began her management years at Piedmont Hospital in January 1999 as a nurse manager and continued that role for the remainder of employment with that organization. Crystal received recognition as a Fellow of the Advisory Board in 2005 and also achieved a Master of Science in Administration in May 2010.
Crystal is married with two children. She enjoys traveling, sports, spending time with her family and serving God and others. Her motto is “always treat others like you want to be treated”.

CHURCH MINISTRY LIST
MINISTERIAL CARE MINISTRY
Provides attention to the needs of all Pastors and special guests. Assists with close attention to visiting members of the clergy to ensure that all needs are met.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH MINISTRY
Seeks to pursue and fulfill our calling to “go and make disciples”. Seeks to practically share Christ’s love in the Middle Georgia community and surrounding areas. Our focus is to Serve and equip our community with the love of Jesus Christ. Our outreach ministry shares the Gospel of Jesus Christ to revive an individual’s personal commitment to our Lord and Savior.
USHERS MINISTRY
Serves as the “Keeper of the Gates”. Create a welcoming atmosphere for worship while ensuring the congregants’ needs are attended with decency and order.
GLOW YOUTH MINISTRY
“Learning to GLOW for Christ as we GROW in Christ. Encourage youth to trust in the Lord and renew young minds unto transformation to the image of Jesus Christ.
MEN’S MINISTRY
Commissioned to serve in ministry, serve their families, as well as serve their jobs and communities in a biblical way. Men’s Ministry shall solidify this by modeling and showing love to men and the entire body of Christ through prayer and service.
WOMEN MINISTRY
Created to maintain an environment of true sisters in Christ. Structured “build” wise women of God who will pray for, disciple, and serve women within the church and community while growing in love for the Lord and each other.
